Mytrah Enegry (India) Ltd., the Hyderabad-based renewal energy firm, is setting up decentralised solar energy plants with generation capacity of 400 MW across Telangana in 16 different places with the total investment of Rs 3000 crore. 6. National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) is a methodology adopted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, to rank all institutions of higher education in India. 

The Framework was approved by the MHRD and launched by Minister of Human Resource Development on 29 September 2015.There are separate rankings for different types of institutions depending on their areas of operation like universities and colleges, engineering institutions, management institutions, pharmacy institutions and architecture institutions. 


7. The Directorate of Enforcement (Hindi: प्रवर्तन निदेशालय) is a law enforcement agency and economic intelligence agency responsible for enforcing economic laws and fighting economic crime in India.

It is part of the Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. It comprises officers of the Indian Revenue Service, Indian Police Service and the Indian Administrative Service. 

The origin of this Directorate goes back to 1 May 1956, when an ‘Enforcement Unit’ was formed, in Department of Economic Affairs, for handling Exchange Control Laws violations under Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1947. In the year 1957, this Unit was renamed as ‘Enforcement Directorate’.


8. India and Russia have begun discussions to work out the modalities for their first tri-service military exercise to be held in October. It will also be India's first bilateral military exercise with any country involving all Three services

The Indra Exercise is scheduled from October 19 to 29. The Final planning Conference will be held from September 12 to 15 in Russia.

10. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), India's second largest state -owned oil Marketer is mulling a merger with GAIL (India) India's largest gas distributor, and Oil India, the country's second largest explorer , to create an integrated energy giant after the center approved the merger of rival Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) with ONGC.

12. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) is an Indian multinational oil and gas company headquartered in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.  It is a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) of the Government of India, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. 
It is India's largest oil and gas exploration and production company. It produces around 77% of India's crude oil (equivalent to around 30% of the country's total demand) and around 62% of its natural gas.

The company is ranked 367th on the Fortune Global 500 list of the world's biggest corporations as of 2016.

On 19th of July 2017, the Government of India announced the acquisition of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation.

14.  Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is an Indian state-controlled Maharatna  oil and gas company headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. 

The Corporation operates two large refineries of the country located at Mumbai and Kochi. The company is ranked 358th on the Fortune Global 500 list of the world's biggest corporations as of 2016.

15. Three astronauts reach ISS for five-month mission

Two US astronauts and a Russian cosmonaut docked at the International Space Station for a five month mission today following a night-time launch from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

Russia’s Roscosmos space agency said that the Soyuz MS-06 spacecraft “successfully docked” at the ISS at 0825 (IST) in a statement on its website.

The Soyuz rocket carrying Alexander Misurkin of Roscosmos, NASA first-time flyer Mark Vande Hei and his veteran colleague Joe Acaba launched as scheduled from Baikonur at 3:17 am (local time). The trio will now join Paolo Nespoli of Italy, Sergey Riazanski of Russia and Randy Bresnik of the US aboard the orbital lab.

The launch marked the first time two US astronauts have blasted off together on a mission to the ISS from Russia’s Baikonur since June 2010.
